Nick Barbknecht is Senior Vice President with InState Partners. With over 15 years of experience in prominent positions within project development, policy advancement, and external affairs, Nick brings his leadership and relationships to support the firm with targeted work across the U.S.

Nick joins InState Partners from the America First Policy Institute where he served as Chief Marketing Officer for the non-profit, nonpartisan think tank. Nick has spent his career in the private and public sectors connecting with thousands of state and local elected officials to advance important agendas through his time in the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Indiana Department of Labor, and Indiana Department of Transportation.

Nick received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Manchester University and an MBA from Purdue University.
